SEO Audits
SEO audit - why your site doesn't rank, clear in one document.
Most SEO audits are 100-page PDFs full of automated screenshots and no priorities. Ours are short, opinionated and built around action - what to fix, in what order, with what business impact.
What we audit
Four dimensions, one prioritised plan.
Technical SEO
Crawlability, indexation, render, performance, schema, sitemaps, robots, HTTPS, redirects, mobile, Core Web Vitals.
On-page SEO
Page-level targeting, headings, copy quality, intent fit, internal links, metadata, image SEO, structured data per template.
Content & intent
Coverage gaps, mismatched intent, thin content, cannibalisation, content-architecture alignment with commercial outcomes. Especially important if the site needs to become more resilient for AI search and AI Overviews.
Architecture & signals
Site structure, hub-and-spoke quality, internal link distribution, hreflang for multilingual sites, log-file behaviour where relevant.
Deliverable
A plan, not a PDF graveyard.
Every finding is graded by impact and effort, then sequenced into a roadmap. You leave the audit knowing what to do next, why it matters, and roughly what it costs.
- Executive summary - the three things that matter most.
- Critical issues - what’s blocking ranking right now.
- Quick wins - high-impact, low-effort fixes for the next 30 days.
- Strategic priorities - the moves that compound over 3-6 months.
- Walkthrough call to discuss findings, trade-offs and ownership.
Pricing, out in the open
One fixed price, visible without sending an enquiry.
Most agencies only tell you the audit price once you're on a sales call. We don't: the fixed price is right here, so you can compare before you ever talk to us. No hidden tiers, no "it depends on the site".

What an SEO audit actually costs and how to spot a worthless one: The honest cost overview
What we run with
An honest tool stack, no proprietary "secret sauce".
Most agencies don’t name their tools so nobody can compare. We name ours, including what we use them for.
Crawl & structure
Screaming Frog for full crawls, internal-link distribution, status codes, canonical and hreflang inspection. Sitebulb as a complement for architecture visualisation on larger engagements.
Indexation & rankings
Google Search Console for the coverage report, crawl stats, URL inspection and search performance. Server-log analysis with Screaming Frog Log Analyzer when crawl-budget behaviour is in question.
Performance
PageSpeed Insights field data plus WebPageTest for root-causing LCP/INP/CLS. Lab numbers alone don’t cut it.
Schema & markup
Rich Results Test and Schema.org Validator per template, run against the actual rendered output, not just the source view.
Competition & keywords
Ahrefs or Sistrix (depending on engagement setup) for visibility comparison, backlink profiles and keyword gaps against the three top competitors.
Manual review
Tools deliver data. The judgement is ours: every top-25 query gets reviewed manually in SERP context, every critical finding re-verified by hand against the live code.
What a finding looks like
Sample entry from a real audit (anonymised).
Munich-area B2B engagement, 84 pages, three commercial clusters. One finding out of 23, no entry in the report ever runs longer than three fields.
CRITICAL · Finding 04 / 23
22 service pages without canonical tag, duplicate-content risk via URL parameters
What: 22 of 34 service-detail URLs ship without a <link rel="canonical">. Search Console shows 14 of these URLs indexed alongside parameter variants (?utm_*, ?ref=*). Example: /services/it-support-munich/ and /services/it-support-munich/?utm_source=newsletter are both indexed, and Google ranks one or the other unpredictably, the canonical version loses backlink equity to the parameter variant.
Why it matters: Google has to split crawl budget between duplicates instead of crawling new content. Backlinks and clicks split across up to three URL variants. Estimated impact: 15-25% visibility loss on the affected commercial queries.
What to do: Add canonical tag in the template <head>, pointing at the parameter-free version. After deployment, trigger re-indexing via URL Inspection. Effort: 4 hours (template change + QA). Expected recovery: 6-14 days.
Every Critical and High finding in the report follows this format. Quick wins are documented in the same schema, more compactly.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions.
Typically 2-3 weeks from kickoff to delivery, including a review session to walk you through findings and the action plan.
A focused, prioritised plan: critical issues, quick wins and strategic priorities - each with rationale, business impact and effort estimate. No PDF padding.
Three fields per finding: (1) What, one sentence with example URL and screenshot, (2) Why it matters, tied to search intent, crawl budget or a ranking factor, (3) What to do about it, with hour-level effort estimate and priority. Never "could be improved", always concrete. There is a worked example further down the page.
No. The audit is a diagnosis. Implementation can happen via a project, a retainer or by your own team, whichever makes sense. We offer optional implementation support.
Yes. Competitive audits are common, especially when you're trying to understand why a specific competitor outranks you on commercial queries.
